K, tell me if this is weird, but I've seriously been considering doing maps for the nursery. I've been a map collector for many years now, and they are just so lovely to me! I know maps aren't super "baby-esque", but I like the idea. I really wouldn't mind looking at
this poster all day.

i'm not really into totally babe-ifying nurseries, mostly because i feel like since it's such a short span of time, it should be more of something a kid can grow into. maps sound like the perfect idea for a boy, especially since YOU love them so much.
oh heather....sooo not weird. I have been wanting to do that for a nursery if I ever had a boy. There is a ton of nursery ideas for just that in an old Martha Stewart baby magazine (where I origionally got my idea). I will check my martha mag's and tell you the exact issue...you can still find them sometimes on Ebay. If not, I'll totally photocopy the mag or even mail it to you if you want. They had some super cute ideas.
-find old wood blocks and mod podge old maps on them.
-find vintage maps of whatever location you want and turn then into wall paper (a border).
I can't remember what else was in there...but seriously so excited if you do end up doing this for your nursery.
I would LOVE it if you did this! It's SO you, sharing your love of maps. Who knows? Maybe he'll have a burning desire to explore the world! Love this.

I think this is the best idea yet. If i were having a boy ( not that I am having anything at the moment) but if I were and it was a boy I would definitely do maps. One of Jesse's favorite things to do is look at the globe and have me ask him where places are. Perfect idea. DO IT!!!!
I could look at this all day too. I think maps are a great idea. Very original.

Wow, that is such a cute map! Jacob would jump up and down for joy if I decorated a baby room with maps...he loves them!
