My Old Life

I used to live in Hawaii. I miss it a lot, more than you could ever know (I say that as I look outside at the ice-covered roads and snow piled feet-high). I was never one to claim "surfer" status or even attempt (except for that one time...), but I do have an appreciation for the sport. Hours upon hours of watching my dude friends shred in the water made me love and appreciate it.

With that being said, my big brother Richie informed me that the Eddie Aikau competition is going on right now. There is a live feed here if you wanna watch...it's pretty amazing! It's THE surf competition in case you didn't know. The one that only happens when the waves are HUMONGOUSLY deadly!
Oh, and that Jamie O'Brien, one time, a long, long, long time ago picked a group of us girls up in his hot little truck. Cousin Lindsay, Chelsea? Remember? Yeah, he's in the competition right now.
