Cupcake Chic Interview & Giveaway!

Trista of Cupcake Chic was kind enough to have a little interview with me. I wanted to get to know the lovely lady behind my favorite cupcakes in the world and share it with you.

Before I get into the interview, I have to put in my two cents. I'm not just saying this to be nice, but these cupcakes are the best cupcakes my taste buds have ever experienced! Oh. My. GOSH! I highly recommend the key lime pie cupcake. Guys, it has a graham cracker crust! Seriously though...

You can find Cupcake Chic in coffee shops and bookstores around Utah County. They also take catering orders for weddings, parties, and special events!

When and how did you fall in love with cupcakes?

It all started back in 2005 on a"girls" trip to New York with my Mom and sisters. We had to stop at the Magnolia bakery because of Sex in the City of coarse. We had their cupcakes and that was that, we fell in love with the idea of cupcakes. Since there weren't any cupcakes in Utah at the time, we started playing with recipes just for own enjoyment and wala here we are!

What is your favorite flavor?

I would have to say my favorite flavor today is chocolate coconut. Seriously, it changes all the time. That's what I love about cupcakes, there are so many different possibilities!

What do you like to do for fun, besides baking cupcakes?

Oh, eating and shopping, hands down! If there is a new place to eat, you bet me, my mom and sisters are there right away. There is just something about the experience of trying new food and finding great deals.

What are some of your guilty pleasures?

Guilty pleasures....hmmmmmm. I love shopping!!!!! Even if it's just a want, want, want. Whether by myself or with a buddy, I find it so satisfying. I would have to say sweets is another guilty pleasure. I can't go a day without a treat.

What makes you laugh?

It doesn't take much to make me laugh. I am a pretty silly person. I love sarcasm!

And now for the giveaway!

Trista has offered to give away a dozen cupcakes to one lucky Coterie reader! Due to obvious reasons, the winner must live within Salt Lake County or Utah County. Don't live in the area, but know someone who does? Enter and give the cupcakes to your friend for Valentine's day! You'll be on their good side forever!

Here's how to enter:

-Check out Cupcake Chic
-Leave a comment here stating your favorite flavor of cupcake from Cupcake Chic (If your comment doesn't link back to a way of contacting you, please leave your e-mail address, otherwise your comment will be discarded)
-You may enter a second/third/fourth time by tweeting/blogging/facebooking about it with a link back here. Make sure to leave a separate comment here for each extra entry.
-This giveaway ends on Thursday, February 4th at midnight and the winner will be announced on Friday, February 5th.

-Good luck!

I live far away in Portland Oregon, and just want to say that even though cupcakes in my mind, were meant for "special occasions," it makes me happy that cupcakes like this can lift spirits and be tokens of affection. And, also, foodie cupcakes are in right now. Keep up the good work!
