Schwinn Hybrid

Meet my new best friend. I love it so much but can't put it to good use until I get something for Cole to hitch a ride with. What do you recommend? A little seat that goes on the back? Or one of those pulling trailer things? I really don't know. I feel like the seat thing seems easier and more convenient, but maybe not as safe? I don't know. Any suggestions from experience?

Anyway, isn't she lovely?

I. LOVE. HER! If I lived by you I'd get one too. OH, wouldn't we have fun biking around Provo? Matt -- great job on the B-Day present!!! What an awesome hubby you are.

Definitely the trailer!!

They can hold two kiddos (if that is in your future), are easy to hook up and easy to pull, kids love riding in them and can fall asleep in them and still be comfortable, they have covers for protection in bad weather, you can get the kind that converts into a stroller, they are easily seen by drivers, and you can haul other things in them like groceries, toys, blankets, picnic baskets...

Need I say more?

P.S. Still put a helmet on Cole in the trailer for safety and to get him used to wearing one for when he rides his own bike, skateboard, scooter, or goes skiing, etc...

I researched this issue FOREVER. I finally decided on a front mounting seat. I got the ibert and I LOVE it.

Ibert all the way Heather. You can try mine out when you get here. Grace loves it and it's all she wants to do.

THe ones attached to bike make me nervous because I would be afraid of toppling over. That just shows how clumsy I am.

Good job Matt.

And kudos on the new job. Yah!

Hey Heather! For what it's worth, Ken's opinion is the Burley brand trailer. We like it for all of the reasons that someone commented above about trailers, we can put both boys in it, AND it's safer b/c the way it's hooked up to the bike. If the bike falls over, it will not which means the kiddos stay safe unlike on the seat that is by your seat.

I have one for link where he rides in front of me, inbetween my legs and I love it. We can snuggle and chat while we cruise! yessssss!

I'm a big fan of the seat in back. I had a trailer for a while but didn't like how complicated it was to do anything and also how disconnected I felt from the kid. I've been intrigued by the front seats too.
