I Fell For Fall, and Winter Survival Items

On 26, Oct 2012 | No Comments | In seasons | By Heather

This year I finally declared fall my favorite season of all, with summer coming in a close second. I’m not going to apologize for not blogging in weeks because, well, I’m not sorry. We’ve been having too much fun rolling in fallen leaves, sipping hot chocolate, and getting cozy under blankets and the time has gone by way too fast!

There are a few things that I’ve acquired this fall that I’m excited to have all throughout the cold months to keep our spirits up. I thought I’d share them with you so you can survive the winter too!

1. Stanley Stainless Steel Bottle

I’ve never owned a container that holds hot liquids for long periods of time. I bought one because I plan on going on adventures this winter and thought it’d be nice and cozy to bring along portable hot chocolate. I’m in love with it so far and can’t wait to get more use out of it in the future!

 2. Hot Water Bottle

My feet get REALLY cold in the winter. Like, ice cubes. At night I simply fill it up with hot water, place it down at my feet, and curl up with the iPad. Then I can call my day complete. You can find really inexpensive hot water bottles. Mine was $1!

3. Glass Container For Hot Chocolate

When the weather started to drop last week, we were drinking hot chocolate by the gallons. I was sick of having the container out all the time, and then an idea came to me! What if the container was pretty? Maybe see through? So I went down to the local Walmart and got myself a cute $5 container and dumped all of my hot chocolate powder into it. Now my it’s pretty in the cupboard and left out on the counter!
